In January 2010, Lucas and I found out that we were going to have a baby! We are so excited, yet nervous to become parents. Like any new parent, we both have so much to learn about raising children, but we know that we will have advice from lots of people (some of whom we wish would keep their "suggestions" to themself)!

Tell Jessica's parents shortly before Randy's birthday: February 20th.When I was a baby, my mom made me a quilt that we always referred to as the "train quilt." It was primary colors and had a train, sunshine, drum, turtle, etc on it and I just loved to sleep with this blanket. Several years ago, my mom had started making another one to give away someday, but she never finished it. When my family was suspicious about me being pregnant, she hurried to finish the other "train quilt" and gave it to me as a congratulations gift when they visited the end of March. I LOVE IT! Even though it won't match the baby's room, we will still use this quilt because it is so special to me. Thank you, Mommy!! :)
